About Our Breeding

Mice

We started breeding mice under the guidance of several mentors in 2022.

 

We want to perfect the “pet look” so that when families select their pair of babies, there are clear differences available!

Little Beans is set on producing small numbers to keep our production levels responsible, sustainable and holds a heavy focus on keeping mice healthy, happy and born tame. 

​

Our mice are our own pets first and during their lives are given enrichment, attention and all things that make mice happy. In large tanks, they have full lives.

During breeding, we do not sacrifice or compromise on their needs in the process. 

​

Post breeding, our mothers are provided with same sex company until their final days of pregnancy as well as a secure nesting box and materials that emulate a burrow in the wild, making mum feel safe, relaxed and ready for beans!

All animals are housed in loving, clean and enriching conditions, before, after and during the breeding process.

Parents are available for handling and viewing upon request.

Rats
We were proudly breeding rats from 2019 to late 2022, however due to time and space constraints, we moved away from breeding rats for the time being. We have hopes to re-establish a program in the future but that could be years. 
We thank those of you who are interested or who have supported us through the years and hope we see you when rats are in the mix again.
